Unfading

"Unfading" is a record of the landscapes along the River Frome in Gloucestershire. The river begins near the Cotswold village of Nettleton, flowing through the steep banks of the Miserden estate and past the historic mills of the Golden Valley. It then follows the Thames and Severn Canal through Stroud before merging with the River Severn at Upper Framilode.

This project was captured using a rare, 100-year-old Aldis lens, which gives the images a distinctive soft quality. Over the past century, the landscape surrounding the River Frome has undergone many changes, combining ancient and present features and creating a distinctive historical narrative.
